Herring was last seen by her husband Lyle on February 8. It is said that the couple had an argument that day. All Herrings belongings and her car were found at her home.

According to Zap 2 it, Detective Chris Gable had this to say about Lesley Herring’s husband:

“I would describe his cooperation as fragmented and less than helpful, not someone I would expect as a grieving husband.”

Police have deemed Herring’s disappearance as suspicious. Investigators also say that Herring was reported missing after she failed to show up for work after several days.

The police hunted Stiles down after a man found the videotape that Stiles had made in a Nevada desert. The videotape showed him sexually assaulting a 2 year old girl as well as Stiles molesting a 6 year old.

Stiles’ sentencing is May 8. He faces possible multiple life sentences.

The Yellowstone Club is an elite millionaire’s club whose 340 members include ex-vice president Dan Quayle, and Microsoft founder, Bil Gates.

Bud Feldkamp had leased the plane and two of his daughters and their families were on the airplane that crashed on Sunday. According to Fieldkamp, it was a family vacation.

Feldkamp, his wife, and another daughter had driven to the Yellowstone Club for the vacation and were to meet the others when they came in. Feldkamp had this to say:

“We were at the entrance to the Yellowstone Club when I got a cell phone call from my nephew. He saw it on CNN. He said, ‘Nobody survived.’ And we knew it was our plane.”

It has been reported that there were 14 people aboard the plane. 7 of them were children.

The increased activity had prompted scientists to raise the alert level over the weekend. On Sunday morning it was reported that 40 to 50 earthquakes were being recorded every hour.

Geophysicist John Power had this to say:

“This is a fairly large eruption, close to the larger cities in Alaska.”

Mount Redoubt is an active and currently erupting composite volcano in the Aleutian Range. It is also the highest mountain within the range.

Mount Redoubt is located approximately 110 miles southwest of Anchorage, Alaska. The last time it erupted was in 1989.

Lovelle Mixon, 26, was pulled over by police early Saturday afternoon during a traffic stop. Mixon, who was wanted for violating his parole, opened fire on the officers, killing one and seriously injuring another.

Mixon then fled the scene on foot, and thanks to an anonymous tip, was later located at an apartment building. When the SWAT team forced their way into the apartment where Mixon was holed up, Mixon began firing and killed two members of the SWAT team. According to police, a bullet grazed another officer.

Police returned fire and Mixon was killed. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, in a statement released, had this to say:

“All four officers dedicated their lives to public safety and selflessly worked to protect the people of Oakland. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those lost, the Oakland Police Department and law enforcement officers throughout California during this difficult time.”

It has been said that tension has been high between the Oakland Community and the police department ever since the fatal shooting of an uarmed man named Oscar Grant. Grant was shot by a transit police officer at an Oakland train station on January 1.

The collision took place at approximately 1 a.m in the strait, which joins Iran and the Arabian Peninsula. It is said to be one of the most used commercial routes for oil tankers.

The two vessels involved were the USS Hartford and the USS New Orleans. Both are operating on their own power.

According to CNN:

“The nuclear propulsion plant on the 362-foot-long sub was not damaged, but New Orleans suffered a ruptured fuel tank, which resulted in an oil spill of approximately 25,000 gallons of diesel fuel marine.”

Manson is serving a life sentence at Corcoran for his part in the conspiracy to commit the Tate/LaBianca murders.

Actress Sharon Tate, the young wife of film maker Roman Polanski, was brutally murdered in their home. Tate was 8 1/2 months pregnant.

Besides Tate, 4 others were killed at the residence, including coffee heiress, Abigil Folger. The next night  Manson orchestrated the killings of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca in Los Angeles.

This August will be the fortieth anniversary of the killings.

Authorities say that according to court documents that Daniela’s father, Milenko Krstic, 52,  lied to get his green card; saying that he never served in the military.

Krstic’s earlier indictment in 2007 was thrown out by a jucdge; but that ruling was overturned this week by the 9th district court.

According to documents, Krstic belonged to the Bosnian Serb Army’s Zvornik Brigande. The unit that took part in the massacre of thousands of Muslims from the village of Srebrencia.

The U.S. government isn’t accusing Krstic of taking part in any killings; only about lying about his military service.

Miss Oregon, Daniela Krstic said this:

“We don’t know what’s going to come out of all of this, but we know that he is an innocent guy, a good guy. We hope that justice will surface. We have faith in our country, the United States of America. I’m a proud citizen of this country”
