They came in droves. Many have been standing in the frigid temperatures since the early hours of the morning. Most are dressed warm. But even if they aren’t, surely their excitement and enthusiasm would go a long ways in keeping them warm.
Millions of American’s are in Washington D.C. and thousands are already crowded into the National Mall to experience the historical moment of Barack Obama becoming the nations first African-American president.
The mood is jubilant; many are dancing and singing. American flags are being passed out for free and being waved. There is a sense of expectation and jubilation.
Huge screens are mounted in the National Mall so everyone will be able to see the inauguration. A record number of people are expected.
